応用生物科学専攻
本専攻では有用生物の創出・利用・保存に関する研究・教育を行う。その対象は陸
および海洋に生息する微生物から植物・動物にわたり、それらの生命現象の解明について分子レベルから集団レベルまでの研究を行う。さらにこれらの研究によって得られた知見を農業、畜産業、水産業に活用するための研究並びに教育を行う。
本専攻は17名の教授を擁し、学生定員も修士課程が50名、博士課程が18名に上る。

The division aims to educate graduate students, to study efficient utilization and preservation of organisms useful for mankind and to develop new technology to improve the quality and quantity of agricultural, animal and fishery products. Basic and applied research at molecular, individual and population levels are conducted on microorganisms and higher form of plants and animals. The division consists of seventeen laboratories specializing in seven areas of research. Fifty master and eighteen Ph.D. students are enrolled in the division.
